Brief Biographical Sketch:

Born in raised in the lone star state, I developed a central knack for computers and the science behind them. At the age of 10 I designed my first website, and at the age of 16, I designed my first website for a customer across the world. I'm not quite an expert at computers, but I hope to be when I graduate from this wonderful (...) institute.

I attended high school back home, graduated in 2009, and came to MIT soon after that. But, I'm sure that information was quite obvious without me stating it. Perhaps what you don't know, however, is that I graduated Valedictorian, was an All-Area Saxophonist (as well as an All-Region Jazz Saxophonist), played Vihuela for my mariachi band, was the head drum-major for my marching band, acted in my school's play, and led the school's robotics team! Bet ya' didn't know that!

In all seriousness however, I'm now a Freshman at MIT pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science as well as Applied Mathematics. My dream is ultimately to change the world through the use of computers. If Bill Gates and Microsoft were able to do it, why can't I?

C2979: Web Design and Web Programming! in Splash! 2009 (Nov. 21 - 22, 2009)
Websites, websites, websites! There sure are a bunch of them around the world (wide web) aren't there? Those darn things! But, how do they actually come to life? In this class, we'll go over the entire process of building a website. We'll start with an idea, work our way into a web design, and then proceed to making it all fit together by programming the site. Hopefully it won't be too Frankenstein-looking, but if it is, even funner! We'll use very simple programming languages such as CSS and XHTML, plus Photoshop's awesome graphic editing tools, to make our website go!
