S4847: Invertebrate Dissection in ESPrinkler Summer 2011 (Jul. 10 - Aug. 21, 2011)
Each person in this class will be dissecting his or her own earthworm and grasshopper. We will learn about how each invertebrate's anatomy is adapted to survival in its respective environment - from setae and nephridia in earthworms to ovipositors and malpighian tubules in grasshoppers. The level of this class is aimed at students in grades 7-10; no previous knowledge or experience is required. Enrollment is limited to 20 students.

S1785: Earthworm Dissection in Splash! 2008 (Nov. 22 - 23, 2008)
Ever wonder what earthworms look like inside? Students will each dissect their own worm and learn about the organs' structure and function.

S1402: Physical Botany in HSSP Summer 2008 (Jun. 29, 2008)
Learn about plants! We will explore the world of land plants through their physical characteristics, guided by evolutionary history. Topics will include structure and function of roots, stems and leaves, classification, life cycles, hormones and responses, and photosynthesis. Classes will consist of a lecture followed by a hands-on (and often edible) lab. Although no previous experience is necessary, knowledge of basic biological concepts is assumed.
