Brief Biographical Sketch:

I'm an alum now (MEng & SB in Computer Science, course 6, 2006 and 2005). This will be the eighth Splash where I've taught chocolate sculpture. Chocolate is especially fun, but I also like making all kinds of things (shoes, paintings, drawings, mosaics, and more).

A5221: It Doesn't Just Taste Good! in Splash! 2011 (Nov. 19 - 20, 2011)

In this class, we’ll make sculptures out of chocolate! But, they’ll look so good you won’t want to eat them when you’re through. In previous years students have come up with all kinds of creative designs: viking ships, a suspension bridge, rainbows, fireplaces, dragons, islands, scenes from books, space ships, turtles, houses, horses, abstract pieces, sunflowers, lily pads, chess boards, painters’ palettes, breakfast, a clock, a wedding dress, three turkeys, pyramids, trees, playing cards, robots, pumpkins, the Apple Logo, a Snitch and the Sorting Hat, and more. A5225: Advanced: It Doesn't Just Taste Good! in Splash! 2011 (Nov. 19 - 20, 2011)

This version of "It Doesn't Just Taste Good" is for older students interested in making more complex sculptures out of chocolate. The goal is still to make them look so good that you won't want to eat them when you're through. But there will be emphasis on more complicated or intricate designs / forms and additional time to work on them.
