Brief Biographical Sketch:

My research interests include theoretical and Indo-European
linguistics and the history of logic in Greece, India and China.
Two other topics that I study are the linguistic relativity
hypothesis and archaeological decipherment. Well aware that
one must have some entertainment in life, I am also interested
in wine in the ancient world.
I am active in Cambridge community affairs and serve on the
Coordinating Committee of the Mid-Cambridge Neighborhood
Association, where I chair the Major Construction Committee.
I have taught Latin at the British School of Boston, the Upham
Corners Charter School and the Boston and Cambridge Centers
for Adult Education. I currently tutor Latin and Greek privately.
I am a member of the National Coalition of Independent Scholars,
where I have served on the Prize Awards and Officer Nominating
Committees.
