Have you ever heard a DJ mix music at your school dance, at a local club, or on the radio? Want to learn how to spin your own beats? Here's your chance --- this introductory course will cover the fundamentals such as beatmatching, mixing, cuing and scratching. We'll also talk a bit about DJing history and culture.

You may have seen it on TV, on YouTube, or perhaps even some of your cooler friends can do it, but you probably decided that beatboxing, while awesome, is something you will never learn to do. Well, after this class, you will be popping beats like a pro! This class is a jam-packed start to the world to beatboxing: basic sounds and techniques, rhythms, future resources, and insight into beatbox culture will all be explored. The class, however, is designed to be super-accessible to people of all levels (read: those of you with absolutely NO experience with anything musical, let alone vocal percussion, have nothing to worry about!).
