Are you interested in robotics? Curious what soft robotics is? Well this is the class for you! In this (primarily) lecture-style course, we will explore the origins of this relatively young discipline in robotics, what exactly a "soft" robot is, how they work, and what we can do with them.

Come learn about Dungeons and Dragons, one of the best tabletop role playing games out there! This course is designed for complete beginners, no previous D&D experience necessary! In this class you will have an introduction to the RPG world, explanation of some of the important elements of D&D, as well as going over the basic rules of the game.

Do you like programming? Do you find yourself thinking about Python or C++ and thinking, "why is this language like this?" In this course, you will learn about the history of programming languages from the very beginning to the present day, as well as important features of programming languages that make them stand out from all the rest.

In this class we will be covering more rules of Dungeons and Dragons, as well as a very important part of the game: making your character! You will learn all the different parts of the character sheet (a page where your character's stats, abilities, and personality is recorded), as well as some opportunities to see what it is like to actually play a game of D&D!

Do you like science fiction movies, books, and more? Do you enjoy philosophy, media, and the connections between all of these topics? What themes and philosophies can we pull out of these films, and what do they represent? In this class we will dissect key science fiction works such as The Matrix, Dune, and Ex Machina, and discuss their philosophical and societal implications and effects. Science fiction was born more than 200 years ago (to be debated!) and is still prominent in society today, with blockbuster sci-fi movies coming out each year. Be ready to have your minds thoroughly wracked as we tackle tough questions like “what is reality?”, “what is life?”, and of course, “what does it all mean?”, all through movies you know and love.
