Brief Biographical Sketch:

I am an avid botanist, enjoy playing jazz saxophone, and was once employed as a circus performer (only one of these is true). At MIT, I have mainly studied electrical engineering, computer science and music. Also, I am a former Splash participant.

A3075: Jazz Improvisation in Splash! 2009 (Nov. 21 - 22, 2009)
This course will focus on the basics of improvisation in music, with a focus on jazz. We'll go over some basic scales and chords, hear a few examples, discuss some tips and tricks, and most importantly, improvise! Bring your instrument if you can.
