Brief Biographical Sketch:
I love random interesting tidbits of knowledge. My focus has always been divided between my academic pursuits and the piles and piles of things that I like to do outside of classes. One of the biggest extracurriculars that I have pursued has been music, from piano to voice. I used to play a lot of softball, and have recently replaced that with Tae Kwon Do. I also like discussing philosophy and public policy. My "day job"- so to speak- is working on a Computer Science degree from MIT. Everything you ever wanted to know about singing, condensed into a single hour. What are those silly warm ups and why do singers do them? How can you sing the exact same note and make it sound different? We will be covering a lot of material, so be prepared. The topics include ombeture, breathing, posture, solfege, and tone. Maybe some sight reading, if time allows.
