Brief Biographical Sketch:
I've lived in Boston my whole life, and I graduated from Boston Latin School in 2009. Currently I'm a junior at Simmons College, where I'm working on an English major with a concentration in Writing as well as an Economics minor. I've actually done NaNoWriMo twice and succeeded both times--once in 2007, and again in 2009. I really like writing and sewing, among other things, and I hope to be an author or at least work in a publishing house. I'm still not sure what you do with a B.A. in English. This seminar will focus on National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo), an annual challenge in November in which people must write a novel of at least 50,000 words. We’ll focus on writing tips such as how to form a plot, how to create characters and the world about which you are writing, and, above all, how to stay on track without falling too behind. And of course, November’s not the ONLY month you can do this. Find out about other writing challenges, too!
