In this class, students will explore different aspects of Chinese culture and how it permeates through ethnic backgrounds in the form of dance. The course will consist of a discussion of specific stylistic aspects that characterize certain ethnic groups, as well as a brief dance lesson that will immerse students in a distinct style of traditional Chinese dance. At the end of the session, students will get the chance to learn about specific dance styles, in addition to their music, costumes, and props.
