If you're J.R.R. Tolkien, writing a book starts with creating a a whole system of languages for your world. His constructed languages - such as Quenya, Sindar, and Khuzdul - are remarkably complete and use their invented own writing system. This class will teach you the basics of writing Tengwar, the system used by the elves of Middle Earth. We'll be learning how to write and read English transliterations of the standard English form of Tengwar.

Have you ever wanted to write like the elves from Lord of the Rings? This workshop will give you the chance. We'll do a basic introduction to the letters (Tengwar) used by Tolkien, and practice writing and reading English transcriptions.

Star Trek has the dubious honor of sporting one of the oldest modern fandoms, from which a variety of tropes has sprung. But it has long been out of step with a component of the fan base; specifically, the LGBT+ fans.
